In 2001, the 4 Spanish Stock Exchanges were unified to start the SIBE or Stock Market Interconnection System. The stock exchanges and markets in Spain are secondary markets, destined to negotiate shares and convertible securities and which may offer the right to purchase.

As of 2006, Spanish Stock Exchanges and Markets (BME), is the operator of all the Stock Exchanges and Markets in Spain. This company has human capital that has extensive knowledge, and sufficient material resources to offer quality services and products, both to issuers and investors.

1. 📌 Madrid Stock Exchange

It is one of the oldest financial institutions in Spain. It is a market where suppliers and demanders meet, to negotiate financial products. It is in charge of channeling savings towards investment. Its most important stock index is the IBEX-35 and is made up of 35 companies with the highest capitalization rates. It is dedicated to trading assets on the continuous market.

2. 📌 Barcelona Stock Exchange (Borsa)

Handle a large volume of quotes. Its main index is the BCN GLOBAL-100; made up of the 100 securities with the highest trading volume. This index makes it possible to analyze the market movements of the most liquid companies that make up the stock index.

3. 📌 Valencia Stock Exchange

It offers access to the stock and securities markets. Its main stock index is the IBEX-35. It is a source of financing and allows its savers to diversify their investments. Almost 95% of the companies listed on this exchange are SMEs. This exchange strives to continually attract new members.

4. 📌 Bilbao Stock Exchange

This exchange allows you to negotiate with shares and assets that give the right to acquisition. Its stock index is also the IBEX 35.

5. 📌 Spanish futures and options market

This market is regulated by the National Securities Market Commission. Options and futures contracts are traded here on underlying assets.

6. 📌 Alternative stock market

Small companies are listed on this market; is designed for SMEs. Companies listed on the MBA have the advantage that they can communicate with investors.

7. 📌 Alternative fixed income market

Market that channels financial resources to solvent companies, with the issuance of fixed income securities. The access requirements are flexible and the procedures generate less costs. It is a market open to national and foreign investors who want to diversify their investment portfolios.

8. 📌 Regulated market for fixed income and corporate debt

Market designed for small companies that want financing through the issuance of debt.
