In my case Invest Capital used the Hotmart platform for me to send them my money for the supposed investments. Sfnsn = mo there are other people who are also reporting when they have been scammed by these thieves.

This scam started like this: In August I signed up for Robert Kiyosaki's investment guide online, receiving a confirmation email from info @ cifholding .com. The next day I was contacted by Jon Anthony Smith, who identified himself as a financial advisor to Invest Capital BTC (investcapitalbtc .com /) and following his instructions I opened an investment account at his firm which I have access to through the trade website. investcapitalbtc .com / trading / aaplusd. In the following weeks I had contact with that person and then with Katerine Betancourt (director) or her assistant Carolina. Communications were by email (katerine.betancourt@investcapitalbtc .com, [email protected] and [email protected] .com) and by phone or WhatsApp (+1 (786) 405-8006 or +1 (863) 250-8277). In these contacts they made several investment offers in stocks, commodities, etc. In summary, between the end of August and mid-October I made 5 capital contributions using my credit card with Betancourt's commitment that every month they would make me remittances to pay for the card. That has never happened and rather, after months of waiting, in mid-December I was contacted by Diego Santacruz and Juan David Santamaría who want me to pay the taxes on all earnings in advance in order to make the withdrawal. I told them to take part of the profits to pay taxes and they tell me that by "internal decree of the company" they are unable to do that. I filed complaints with the SEC (USA) and SMV (Peru) but as it is not a regulated entity there is little they can do.

The SEC's answer is that since they are not a regulated broker, there is not much they can do immediately. However, they noted this: “The SEC's Office of Investor Education and Defense processes many complaints from individual investors and others. We maintain records of the correspondence we receive in a database that can be searched by SEC personnel for use in inspections, reviews, and investigations. Additionally, some of the correspondence we receive is forwarded to other SEC offices and divisions for review. If they have any questions or wish to respond directly to your comments, they will contact you. "
An additional issue to consider is how these scammers collect the funds. In my case, all the transfers were made through Hotmart. I opened a ticket in Hotmart reporting that that company was using their platform to commit scams through ads like this: hotmart .com / product / trading-invest-capital / Q36834523D, which is supposed to be an introductory course in trading. In my case, I was contacted to show interest in knowing details of investment in the stock market. Hotmart's response was:
“We analyzed the product and we did not find anything on social networks that links Hotmart with the complaint filed, only the links already cited by the complainant.
This one, in particular, caught our eye, but we couldn't find evidence to justify a crash based on what we do:
