In mid-2021 they contacted me from mbitrading, I think it was a person named Adela and then Michael Brown continued with me.
They told me that they would help me recover money that I had deposited with others to operate in the stock market. More than 6 months have passed and in December an account that they said was in my name on the METATRADER 4 platform with the number 1XXXXXXXXX was transferred to a crypto wallet.
They asked me for an amount that I gave them to withdraw the money from the account (more than €300.000). Today they sent me a letter supposedly from HMRC saying that the capital gains have not been paid and they give me a deadline to pay them (pay about 8%). I don't understand anything and I'm afraid everything is a fraud.
The letter that has been sent to me, how can I know if it is true, authentic?
